Plantar Fasciitis

Don’t let constant foot pain slow you down, or stop you from doing the activities you love.

What is Plantar Fasciitis?

Plantar fasciitis is the inflammation and irritation of the plantar fascia (a thick fibrous tissue that extends from the heel and goes all the way to the toes). Poor foot posture or excessive ankle motion while walking can strain the plantar fascia resulting in small tears and increased tension where the fascia attaches to the heel. The degree of discomfort (or pain) each person experiences can often lessen with activity during the day or after “warming up”, or it can quickly become worse if prolonged, vigorous activity is undertaken.
